Long Beach Walls is a week-long, city-wide event that takes place in the summer throughout Long Beach and is part of the globally recognized Worldwide Walls series of street art events, which since 2010 has brought murals to public spaces in cities like Honolulu, Seoul, Washington DC, Taipei and Tokyo. Its core mission is to bring art and culture to public spaces while beautifying the city of Long Beach and cultivating community pride.

The event brings together international and local artists to create murals and other forms of art and music. While the murals are the centerpiece of the Long Beach Walls activities, there’s much more to this street art festival than paint and aerosol cans. The festivities are filled with museum exhibitions, mural tours, artist talks, workshops, block parties, and concerts.

For the 2023 festival, I developed the branding and guided its creative direction. Working closely with junior designers and interns, I oversaw the design of all promotional materials, including social media content, posters, a passport guidebook, badges, merchandise, apparel, and signage.
